Other Bahamian athletes who have qualified for the World Championships include Wanya McCoy in the men's 200 meters and Denisha Cartwright in the women's 200 meters. Cartwright is expected to return home to compete in the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) National Championships before heading to Paris. The World Athletics Championships will be held from August 19-27 at the Stade de France in Paris. The event will serve as an important qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
